  • Who is eligible to apply for the programme?

    For participants to be eligible for the programme they:


    1. Must be proficient in English
    2. Must be enrolled in a full-time post-secondary education institution and have completedat least one semester.
    3. Must have already received a job offer from a US company before applying for the j1 work and travel visa.

  • How long does the programme last?

    The Summer Work/Travel program is a four-month program. Program dates entered in block 3 of Form DS-2019 define the program duration, a period of time up to but not exceeding four months. Participants may not work at any other time except during the period indicated on Form DS-2019. Extensions are not permitted.

  • What is the DS-2019 form?

    The Form DS-2019 or "Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status" is the basic document used in the administration of the exchange visitor program. This form permits a prospective exchange visitor to seek an interview at a U.S embassy or consulate in order to obtain a J visa to enter the United States. The Form DS-2019 identifies the exchange visitor and their designated sponsor and provides a brief description of the exchange visitor’s program, including the start and end date, category of exchange, and an estimate of the cost of the exchange program

  • Can I have more than one job?

    Yes. You can have as many as you like as long as you can fulfill your obligations to your primary contract.

  • What is the Social Security Number?

    The Social Security Number (SSN) is the American version of the Jamaican Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN). All individuals must obtain a SSN so they can work legally in the United States. Participants will be assisted with obtaining their SSN.

  • How do I register for the program?

    Apply online and complete the registration form. You may visit our office or registration booth and pay the registration fee. Upon registration, online access will be given to complete forms.

  • Will I be eligible to work on entering the United States?

    If you are selected and if you are capable then you must be able to work on the United States.

  • Does your programme offers the money-back guarantee?

    It is difficult to say that. Sometimes it gives the money back and sometimes due to some difficulties it is possible to give back the full money

  • What is refundable?

    All fees at the final stages of the process are non-refundable. Registration Fees are refundable if the process has not started. Once any immigration related process has commenced, no fees will be refundable.

    A Police Clearance Certificate is a crucial document that verifies whether an individual has been convicted of a crime. It is required for visa, immigration, and emigration applications, as well as most employment applications nowadays.

  • What if my medical runs out before I travel to the United States with a copy of my medical report?

    There is a risk involved in doing so. The fiancee visa medical is now only valid for a MAXIMUM of 6 months, according to most consulates, and the fiance must reach the United States before the medical expires.
